Hi VJ,

I hope you can help. I was approved at my visa interview on Tuesday May 6th in Montreal. Today is Monday May 12th. Ever since may 6th my status on the CSC website has been as per below. I know they say approx. 10 days, but now I am getting nervous. Is the status usually like this up until you receive your waybill number? Is there another website, where I can check the status? Any help or insight into this matter is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

John Doe

Scavenging the always helpful Visa Journey website I also found this quote:

"Ours was 13 days. There was another couple who waited almost a month and she lived in Montreal with no rhyme or reason why it was delayed. If you were not born in Canada...the wait can be up to 12 months."

Now I am really concerned because I am from Denmark. Can this really be true? Could I potentially have to be waiting for up to a year when others get their visas within weeks, just because I was not born in Canada? Once again any insight would be highly appreciated.

The majority of people who get stuck in Administrative Processing for months are from countries with poor record keeping, high rates of fraud, and/or other security concerns.Anything is possible, but I'd say your odds of that happening are probably low (at least based on being from those countries)

I went through Vancouver, but I had my interview on Thursday. On Friday it changed to Administrative Processing, Monday it went to Issued and I had my waybill # on Tuesday morning.
