I-864 tax return

Hi All,

hope all is well for everybody!!

Regarding the form I-864, my spouse meet the requirement for 2013 and 2012 but not 2011. should i still include it ? If yes, do i check line 14 saying I attached the three recent year, when it's only 2?

I also want to add my own tax return for the recent year, Can i do that also ?

Im guessing your spouse is the petitioner. Three years is required no matter if the income met the requirements. They really care about the last and current year anyways. You could include your assets but if your spouse meets the poverty guidelines, there is no need. Now if you want to add your income, you will have to fill out form I-864A. I suggest you avoid making it complicated and just let you spouse do the paperwork.

I would agree. It has been suggested that providing too much information might be as bad as providing too little. Just give them what they ask for. Don't start adding other stuuff that has not been requested. Good luck and God Bless.

My spouse only have the paystub from the last month, and not from the last 5 months, is that a big deal? The instructions doesn't say we need paystubs, but everybody's cover letter does. just seeking for some advice

But he has tax return and w2's for the last three year, and letter of employment. He changed job the last month, should I include his old offer letter?
