K3 and travelling

If I opt for the K3 instead of the CR1, will my husband be able to travel within the United States once he gets here? We were planning on taking some trips to see the country but that was when I thought we would do the CR1 but seeing as how I want him sooner rather than later I'm thinking of just going with the K3. Plus I don't want to have to give the gov't that extra $200 to have them push the CR1 along if they hold it up.

Also, what about Canada? His best friend lives in Toronto which isn't too bad of a drive from Boston. Would he have trouble crossing the border?

Once someone enters into the U.S. on a K1, K3 or CR, they are free to travel within the U.S. without a problem.

K3s are also multiple entry so he could travel outside the U.S. to Canada and come back.
