Apparently you never learned that our system has multiple checks and balances, including the DUTY of congress to exercise oversight on the executive branch.

Dictatorships "waste" no time and resources on silly things like oversight. Answering Congressional subpoenas is not "pandering". It is following the law, whereas not doing so is a crime. You are glad we have criminals running the country, apparently. Had they turned over what has been requested this would have been over loooooong ago.

Apparently you can't tell the difference between a fabricated non scandal designed to rev up the masses and an actual issue that requires investigation. Had we pandered to the birthers a lot of time and money would have been wasted. The US government should no more pander to the 'Benghazi' crowd than it did to the birthers.

Seems awfully important for you to talk about "birthers" incessantly instead of the subject at hand, which is Benghazi. People resort to that when they don't have a strong position on the topic in question. Reasonable people can disagree on a subject without trying to make others sound like insane people.

I do not belong to a political party and loathe both the democrats and republicans for the phony, hypocritical greed they both represent. Sometimes that gets me called a liberal and sometimes a conservative for questioning whichever one is in power at the moment.

You can't answer the questions above despite all of these investigations, which is the result of the administration refusing to turn over documents or allow key personnel to testify. The simplest one of all - where was the president - would have been answered looooong ago if there is nothing to hide. This is my employee, not my King. What he does, especially in the most open administration in history, is a public record and not a state secret.

The blame for wasting time and money is on the people refusing to answer questions.

No, I don't feel nuts at all. You should feel pretty silly though because between 5 pm on the 11th and 10:30 am on the 12th when he made his statement in the Rose Garden on the Benghazi attack there is no information on the President's Schedule regarding who he met with or what he did. I suppose you could say with it being an emergency situation and all that they didn't have the time to put it in there, but why the refusal to answer the questions asked? It is such a simple question.

I have no qualms about being corrected either. I don't give a hoot for republicans, democrats or any other party. I don't belong to one, nor do I fit into "lefty" or "righty" definitions. One of the most exasperating things about being nonpartisan is the incessant framing of every damned issue as either "right" or "left", as if there were no other way to view the world but those two lenses. I despise republicans, just like I despise democrats for how blinded they both are by their stupid partisan stances.

Daily Guidance for 2012-09-11

In the morning, the President, the First Lady and White House staff will gather on the South Lawn of the White House to observe a moment of silence to mark the 11^th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The moment of silence is pooled press.

In the morning, the Vice President will travel to Somerset County, Pennsylvania, to deliver remarks at the Flight 93 National Memorial Commemorative Service to honor the passengers and crew who died there 11 years ago. This event is open press.

Afterwards, the Vice President will return to Washington, DC.

Later in the morning, the President and First Lady will travel to the Pentagon Memorial to attend the September 11^th Observance Ceremony. There will be in-town travel pool coverage.

In the afternoon, the President will travel to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and visit with Wounded Warriors who are being treated at the hospital and their families. This visit is closed press.
