Hi All,

I just want to ask those that did the DCF for their spouse.During the interview, Is it going to be both for the petitioner and the beneficiary? I mean does the petitioner have to be interviewed also or just the beneficiary? What are some of the questions asked during the interview. Thank You.

Hello,

My husband and I just went through the DCF process in Peru (he is the Peruvian citizen and I am the U.S. citizen living in Peru). I attended the interview with him. When questions were being asked, I allowed him to respond as I figured that he was the one being interviewed. I only answered a couple of questions that the immigration officer specifically directed at me (Where were you born? How often did you visit your husband in Peru during recent years?). Here in Peru, it is not required that the spouse of the Peruvian citizen attend the interview. However, there was another young man (Peruvian) who was attending the interview without his U.S. citizen wife. This young man was asked for pictures of his wedding/relationship, which he did not have. My husband and I were never asked for pictures during the inteview. This could be a difference between couples who attend together and those who do not.

With regards to the questions, my husband was asked the following:

How did we meet?

When did we get engaged?

When did we get married?

Did we have children?

What are our plans for the future?

I hope this was helpful! Good luck to you :)
