This may seem like an odd topic but here it goes. My wife has lived in the philippines all her life and is getting prepared to get the medical exam for her U.S visa. She has no records of vaccinations in her past and was terrified when she read the long list of shots for required U.S vaccinations she will have to have. Any words of encouragement or experience you can lend?

The doctors will usually know what immunizations are commonly given for the area. For example, in the US certain immunizations are required for a child to attend school.

Worse comes to worse she can pretend she is in the military where they assume nothing and immunize you all over again from scratch. Not pleasant but I lived.

I had all the vaccinations that were required. It is more of a hassle to gather proof that I did so I had all of them again. No fever. No soreness. And still alive. She will be fine. :-D

So is it fine if we dont bring any immunization records when my husbands does his medical? Bcoz my mother in law said she lost his records :(

She'll prolly get 4 or 5 shots tops. That's not that bad right? It's what people say "No pain, no gain." ;)

Oh it's a guy? My bad :P Sure! No problem. I'm a nurse in the PH and you'd think that we'd get less shots but I also didn't bring any record and I believe I got 2 or 3 shots.

the list doesn't say she need to have all of those shots...only 3...and I got only 3 in my medical last May 20.
