Ok in a panic here, I filled out and we mailed off my husband's AOS. He is adjusting from a K-1 visa. On the forms it asked for Alien (A) number. But I could not see anywhere that he has been assigned one. I see others also adjusting from a K-1 listing what they did and say they put A number on picture or almost forgot it. Where is this magical number? I checked his passport on the visa, checked the I-94, all papers they ever sent us. I cannot find this number and did not include it. so will this cause a delay, app rejection? Or will they figure it out??

On the NOA2 on the right side of the top section, before the actual body fo teh notice, there will be a 9-digit number preceeded by an "A-", that is the A number

For the K-1 visa, the "A-number" or Alien number can usually be found above the beneficiary's name on the Form I-797, 'NOA2', petition approval notice.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

Lookup to your NOA-2. This is the link of a picture of NOA-2.
