Is there some reason why you haven't filed an I-485 and rendered this speculation moot?

I'm from Canada. Going from California to Hawaii. Why are the chances higher on border states?

I think you will be fine but I have seen people waiting at the gates for domestic travel in NYC be approached by Immigration and asked what their status is and do they have proof.

April 2014 I-360, I-765, and I-485 mailed.
May 2014 EAD Received

July 2014 1-360 Approved

Waiting for interview
