any resolution with respect to this matter?

I have 4 ds 260 to fill. mine and my 3 kids.

started with my first kid, (education and work was there) - submitted the form and all was good. got the confirmation page and everyone was happy.

started with my second child, and the damn section for work/education is no longer there. signed out. signed in again and the section is not to be found.

started my own application and same thing like my second child. work and education has taken a leave of absence and hasn't called the web page.

not sure how to proceed.

this online system is sub par to say the least.

Hey everyone,

I have 4 ds-260 to fill. one for me and 3 for my kids.

I started with my first child, filled the online form, got a confirmation page and all was good.

I started the second form only to notice that the whole "Work/Education/Training Information" is no longer there.

nothing. nada. gone.

I signed out, signed back in and still the damn section is not there. not on the left side navigation bar. no reachable with the navigation buttons.

i tried signing in with my 3rd child case numbers, and the section is still missing.

NOW WHAT ??

can't proceed with an incomplete form. can we???

did they ask for the missing section at your interview or did you resolve the problem with NVC ?

I filled out the form as it was asked for, and nothing more was asked for at interview. I've been in the USA since June 2013. :)

In my case, a whole section is missing. I have no idea how on earth they would deploy buggy online applications like that!!!

I can't call NVC now. have to wait until Monday morning.

I did some research about the issue on another forum.

a Chinese guy experienced the same thing. his application was delayed for 3 months because NVC and his consulate were pointing fingers at who's responsible. poor guy had to have his wife (US citizen) intervene with the embassy to sort out this matter.

this is unbelievable. why on earth am I going through this whole process in the first place !!!!

Like I said, I didn't have a single issue having the prior work or education sections missing. I know other Canadians who also haven't had issues. I can kind of see a high fraud country like China having the issue but I didn't have one. My G-325a had previous work information.

So they knew they I had previous work...

How old are your children? They most likely don't include that section for children as it really wouldn't apply. They can't work or go to secondary school.

I wouldn't stress about it. If anything just make sure that you have all relevant information at the interview.

you know, you're absolutely right.

they already do have this information on my g-325!!

thanks for pointing it out. if NVC can't fix it on Monday, i'll bring up this point.

One is in elementary school. the two others are in junior high.

I started with my eldest, his ds 260 included the section just fine.

when I started the other 3 (mine included), I noticed the section has disappeared.

you have a point about the section might not be relevant for kids, but it sure is relevant on my form.

is possible is a browser issue?

get on a pc running winders with InterNet explorer v7 or 8 or 9

as

that website was solely designed to use that web browser.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Give it a day or so and try again to see if the problem resolves. Then call and ask...maybe they can give guidance at NVC. Like Darnell says, maybe it's the browser you're using. I find the only way I could get the CEAC site to work for me was to use Firefox, and we filled out the online forms using IE. They're using too many different groups to design this software!

Darnell is correct, forms work best on internet explorer and it even says so on the intro to each form ....I used firefox before and had nothing but trouble when printing.

it's not a browser issue.

the problem is consistent with all browsers I used (chrome, IE, & firefox)

it's a software bug on their side.

a similar problem was apparently reported on another forum. the applicant had experienced similar issues on his/her ds 260. sad news, is that his/her application was delayed for about 3 or 4 months as the consulate and nvc were pointing fingers as who's responsible to fix the problem.

lovely.

this will sound sophomoric from me -

but

clear all of your browser's cache in IE also killing all the cookies

and

try again...
