Hello Everyone,

You seem to have much of a handle on this particular forum :D

I am a bit worried, My CN is quite high 2015AF00061XXX, I submitted my DS-260 in June 24th 2014 after I got married (my wife and I).

--> Thus, I Have three (3) questions :

1 - I didn't receive my 2nd notification letter, is it normal ?

2- Is it possible for me not to get an interview regarding my high CN (my country holds only 220 winners) ?

3 - If I'll have an interview, when would that be ?

Thank you guys for your support :)

Hi,

You will only receive the 2nl 6-8 weeks before the interview, so yes it's normal that you don't have it yet.

That number should be perfectly safe, but you will probably interview quite late in the FY - I'd guess july or August.

Can you explain a bit about what you mean by interview separately, how many months apart, how much later? Do you have a low case number?

You can always contact KCC to say that you want to change that bit on your form. Remember to include your full name, date of birth and case number on any correspondence you send them.

Your evidence sounds ok, the more the better.

What I mean is, because I said my wife will immigrate later to join me on the DS 260 form, I was thinking I will go for my interview separately (alone) and when she is about coming, then she goes for hers..I don't know if that's how it works? Thank

That's why I keep asking your for number/expected interview date. No DV visas can be issued after 30 September. If she has not had her interview by then she *cannot* get a derivative visa and then you have to go the family sponsor route. So I am telling you that you can change what you said on the form, that both of you can go together for the interview, but she can come later as long as it is before the visa expires, or do an extra trip if necessary. I gave you various options already but it's hard to do this properly without any idea of when you may have an interview and when she will graduate.

Urgent question with time limit

My brother was selected in the lottery but his number is 2015AS00018XXX . As you see the number is very high. Can he apply now for the 2016 while he is already on the list of 2015 ?

Would immigration cancel his current application or would it cause any problem that he is applying again while he is already selected for the current year ?

I need quick answer because only couple of days left to file for 2016 lottery.

Thanks ahead

I'm sorry this is my CN 2015AF00003XXX, I completed the form about 14 days ago and I got no idea when I'll be going for the interview. The problem is my wife is a student nurse and she is currently in SA doing a course, she'll return in March, 2015 and I don't wanna take any risk by scheduling for interview the same time when I dont know when the interview date is due, so I thought making her immigrate later (like few months after I have left) will be safe so she doesn't get struck by the 30 September deadline. Help with any advice, thank you.

hey, the ds 260 has a section that asks to enter an address where they would send the green card by mail. so my question is if we would have to be at the location personally to receive and sign or something. i may not stay at the address given very long. so could i just ask my friend to mail the green card to the new location afterwards? thanks in advance.

The problem is you can't just schedule interviews for when it suits you. The schedule is driven by KCC in in conjunction with the embassies who also have to fit in all other immigrant and non immigrant visa interviews. I think you need to actually call KCC and explain your situation, I do think the best will be for your wife to interview with you and just leave later even if this means she has to fly back from SA to do it. Otherwise I worry that they will not be able to find another interview slot for the same case.

Yes that will be fine, many people do that.

Hi there,

My case number is

2015AS00008XXX

I'm a Sudanese national living in and set my country of eligibility to Saudi Arabia ...

I would really love to know my chances for an interview and estimated time ..??

Thanx in advance

How are you claiming eligibility to Saudi? Birth, marriage? If neither of these I am afraid you will be denied (unless you had a very specific set of circumstances that you can prove about your parents).
