My guess would be he looked normal but was actually right-handed.

I don't know, whether he had petitioned for someone else before (maybe fiance), or how he obtained his citizenship, or what job he had, or how old he is, maybe.

gender at birth?

Supposedly it's not a "fatal" lie, whatever that is, so I assume it's nothing all that major.

I never knew some questions if answered incorrectly can result in the death penalty. These immigration laws are trickier than I thought.

On a more serious note, some would consider lying by their spouse to be unacceptable, with no acceptions. It might not be the nature of the lie, but the fact the lie was told at all, which set off the OP's anger.

I googled "fatal lie" just to see if I was missing something and found a book about a lesbian love triangle that explodes into bloody murder. Sounds like a good read.

Not anything like that.Just one simple question that is even on the I-130.It's long story.I don't want to talk about the detail to avoid misunderstanding.

No, it isn't a long story. It is one simple question on the I-130. Misunderstandings are guaranteed when you don't actually say what is going on.

So we have things like whether this was the first person they petitioned for. Other names they have used. How they got their citizenship. Any one of those would beg some additional questions that could be very troubling indeed and potentially crimes depending on things we don't know. If it is serious enough to divorce over it seems bizarre to belittle whatever it is.
