You need need to make an Info pass appointment first; without one you are unlikely to even get into the building.

You can also file for naturalization if you have been married to a USC for at least 2 years--that window is opening up for you. This will get them to work on your ROC. IMHO, I would work on getting them to approve your ROC instead of trying to get a new I-551 stamp or another extension. Call or write your congresscritters. Make an INFOpass appointment and ask why the hell your ROC has no decision yet--it may be they sent an RFE and are waiting for a response and the RFE was not delivered by the USPS. 9 months is way too long. Begin making noise. The ROC is one of the easier steps in this whole process and should not take that long. Contract the USCIS ombudsman for assistance. Begin making yourself a PITA until you get the 10 year GC.

Good luck,

Dave

I"m in the same boat as you, except I'm worse because I didnt hear a THING for almost 10 month now. I wrote both to ombudsman and congressmen with the reply ONLY from congressman making a phone call to USCIS front desk which is the usual BS answer of PLEASE WAIT LONGER. WE DO NOT KNOW WHY IT TOOK SO LONG...

Afterward I made a infopass and still got the same BS answer. "We don't know why but here's your I-551 stamp and continue to wait"

I think I will just file my N400 in June and force them to act on my ROC.

Let me know if you find out anything that can possibly make your case go forward.

Thanks.
