Has anyone else sent in forms and checklist before booking a medical, i really need to get the things sent in but cant really book the medical yet as im not sure when my vaccinations are going to be completed.

No, as it says specifically to book your medical before returning the checklist!

ok, so why does it say this in my packet 3 " The medical results will be vaild for 12 months and will help to speed up the final processing of your application if we have received them before your visa interview, However it is not compulsory.

Plus ive read on here that some ppl have booked their medical after getting the interview date.

..so confusing.

no worries now, as ive just booked it anyway, knightsbridge told me that i dont need hep B jabs anyway, which is what was holding me back.Thankgod as i was gonna have to pay for them.

Is there a definitive list of jabs you need to have from the Doctors who perform the medicals? I'm getting mine done now by my local dr while i wait for Packet 3..

I'm confused as the website lists a whole load of vaccinations...

We returned packet 3 before paul's medical but he had his vaccination record and the medical booked. So I would say once you get your vaccination record (it took 5 minutes for the nurse to write Paul's out - whats the hold up?) book a medical and ask for the next available as long as it's within I'd say 3 weeks send the packet.

when i phoned knightbridge today i mentioned the jabs and got told all i needed was MMR and TD.

Which surprised me as in packet 3 it listed alot more than that.

Also when sending in the forms from packet 3 they have a place for your passport pic, now do i send the pics or take them to interview with me? thanx

I believe that most people take the pics with them...i sent mine with my packet 3 and had no problems with it

Am i wrong to expect the medical to include the jabs....i hardly ever go to my own doctor and frankly and quite happy for it all to be done in one fell swoop in London...am i mis informed???

Frankly dont like visiting my doctors.

yea you can have the jabs done at the medical, but i think you have to pay £35 for each shot. someone correct me if im wrong.

Can't remember how much they are, but I know that everyone who's had them done at the medical said they were more expensive than what their GP would have charged.

If at all possible, get them done before hand and save yourself some bucks!

my local doctor is giving me the jabs for free, so definitely worth the saving, especially considering that the medical is £160 without the cost of jabs...
