I sent a petition for removal of conditional status in early November, I sent it with delivery confirmation so I know that they received it on November 14th. This was to the Nebraska office. Since then I have heard nothing from them. My card expires on February 2nd of this year. So I guess my question is, what do I do? I'm afraid I won't hear from them before my card expires. What would this mean for me? Is there someone I can reach to inquire into this? I have a job right now, would I have to stop working if I don't hear in time? I looked on the USCIS website as far as removing conditional status and I didn't really see anything applicable. I'm sorry, I know this is a little here and there, I've just been kind of working my way into a panic while I'm waiting for all this. Thank you for all your help.

Did you get a Notice Of Action? Did they cash your check?

It has been way too long. Call them, and/or set up an info pass appointment.

Yes, get an InfoPass appointment right away. You need to make sure they have accepted your case before your GC expires.

I don't think the USPS delivery confirmation means anything to them. Maybe the bank statement with the check cashed. Did they cash you check?

The only prove we have that they have accepted our case is the NOA with the extension for a year or a stamp in our passport if the NOA hasn't reached before your GC expires.

In order to get the stamp, you need to get an infopass appointment but in your case, since you don't have NOA, they will ask for some prove they received the package and right now you don't seem to have any. Don't panic, but don't delayed this a minute, start calling the 800# and get Infopass.

No, I never did get a NOA, which is what I was concerned about. Now that I look I see I should have been concerned much earlier than this.

Okay. I have an appointment for Jan 12th, I've got delivery confirmation from the post office, useless though it may be, I also have a copy of the check from my bank showing that it was cashed. Is there anything else I should bring along? Thank you so much for your help, I had no idea what to do.

I'm sure you are going to be ok. If your check was cashed, I think you have prove that you submitted your package.

When you go to the office, they will probably stamp your passport or make you wait for the expiration date to be closer to do so.

Good luck.
