I-693 question

Ok I am confused. I got my medical done and dont really want to spend the whole 350 dollars for another medical. My sealed medical that I got done in my home country was kept by the inspecting officer at the POE.

Does it mean that I have to get the whole medical done again along with the vaccinations?

You'll only need the supplement for the vaccines, the I-693A, the problem is finding a USCIS civil surgeon that will charge only for that, but it is possible to find it.

YOu need a copy of your vaccinations in order to have the civil surgeon do the I-693A. Do you have that?

I am so confused! Ok, so since I did the K-3 Visa, I dont need the whole medical? But how do I go about doing that. Someone please help! I am going crazy here!

If you had your medical done within a year you don't another one.

Did you get the form DS-3025 from your doctor?

If so you simply have to call civil surgeons in your area and tell them that you need the form DS-3025 transfered into the form I-693A. They should charge you no more than $50 for that

I dont have a copy of the medical that I got from overseas as the Inspecting officer at the POE kept it! So does this mean, I have to get the whole test done again?

Thanks Molinas for your help! Yes, I had the DS 3025 done! But I dont have it as the Inspecting officer at the POE kept it. Probably that means that I have to get everything done again right?

If not, call your doctor and tell him to fax you the form DS-3025.

Usually it's advised that the foreign fiance should ask the civil surgeon a copy of the vaccination sheet especifically for this reason, to use for the AOS. That is because the medical records are sealed inside the envelope that needs to be handed at POE, which is the procedure. So now you can try using the records from your foreign vaccination cards to convince the civil surgeon to fill out the I-693A for you without doing an entire new medical.

EDIT: As far as I know the civil surgeons don't keep a record of your medical, so he might not be able to fax the DS 3025

You are right, my Panel Physician from Pakistan informed me that he does not have a copy of the Medical he performed in Pakistan, So I guess I am gonna have to get the full physical done! My question is what is a good price to pay for the physical?
