^ This, I can't tell you how many times they told us incorrect things when we called. They used to call it the "Misinformation Line" around here.

And it is sad that I could not even get this straight answer today from USCIS , the guy on the phone was SURE that everything was going to be fine. lol.

He told me that they will definitely send me a list of reasons so that I can reply to it. I know that is not true.

Our goal is for me to go back to Morocco and get married there officially! It is just having the ability to make that happen that is getting in the way. It was not as easy as it was before. I can not walk away from my business without someone to take over, and right now there is nobody to take over, plus working around my, and my girls school schedules.

Thanks for this info, I know that this is the REAL truth!

Ha ! Idiots. He had his I-129 mixed up with a I-130. The operators answering the phone are all useless.

I had a tier 2 yelling at me that my case will be in storage at a warehouse where it will expire. Then she hung up.

5 star service. Not.

Yes Thank God for people here, and in the Visa Journey group on Facebook, and my lovely friends who I have met who have gone through this process already to get real information from. Otherwise, Good Grief! I was thinking to myself, I can't believe I know more about this process than this guy on the phone. I'll give it to him though he genuinely seemed to care , and was concerned enough and tried to be encouraging. He was nice, but for sure he was just reading off the computer.

Oy ve.

Oh wow, I am so sorry some of you guys have to go through that:( that is just so sad.

On a positive side, you will appreciate the relationship you have even more when you are together as you went through really touch times and maybe toughest time in your life. A lot of people who just met their significant other at work, school, or any other places from the same town, will not know this feelings and to my opinion it is harder for them to maintain and value their relationship.

What I don't get is how USCIS approves it without any questions and then only on interview there are Red Flags come up. you would think that USCIS would help you and get any explanations before they hand it to the embassy to help us Americans be prepared:(

I thought the most difficult thing was USCIS and 129f approval and was excited that I am done with the process. Now i am very scared and will be bugging my fianceee a lot to go over any freaking possible details about my life and her life:( I would not survive 4-5 years without her. I would end up moving somewhere else but USA. I love USA to death and probably would regret that desicion for the rest of my life, but I can not waste so many happy years of my life. My case is easier tho. we are younger, no kids etc.

Oh my, don't even want to think about denial:(

FYI...I didn't pay much attention to where your petition is going , but k-1's that return to Vermont are basically dead. I was told this from our congress person, and I've been in your position of being denied a k-1. Unless things have changed , they just don't have time to review the returned ones. You will wait and wait, and they will tell you it''s being reviewed. When we filed two years later for marriage visa, we got the notice that they were closing the k-1. It was just crazy. Refile for k-1 or get married, its what I would do if I was put into your situation again. However when you refile , you need to address them about the past U.S wife.

I am so sorry you are having to go through this denial process. We had three interviews before my husband was approved, the process is a test of faith, patience and love. Political involvement is not typical as this is just they way Casablanca Consulate is. I wish you the very best and the patience needed to endure the time it takes. Time seems to move slow while waiting, but soon you will look back and see how quick time went.

God Bless you both!

Really nice words and so true...it is a test of faith patience and love. It may not feel this way to OP NOW, but It does make us stronger and more resolved with our bonds between us. If we stuck through this we can get through harder things together in the future.

Very nice post.

@destiny64 this is possible and i definitely never ruled it out. In fact it's not like she had nice things to say about him when I indirectly contacted her myself. But she never said anything that he didn't already tell me himself, never has he lied or been sketchy. I just feel in cases like this, especially with the time and money and lives invested, it should be more comprehensive of an interview / process once it reaches the Consulate. But whatever, let the games continue!

Or maybe she never actually withdrew the petition and he got one of those automatic fraud markers talked about on Marc Ellis blog? One of the things he told me about her and a point of contention between them was that she was not on top of the process once it was in AP, as she was not the kind of person "who liked to talk on the phone". We all know you can't sit out this process and not call /write / harass to make sure it is moving.

I've been in your shoes , and I know how difficult and frustrating it can be! If you look at our timeline, it was hell. We didn't have the issues you had and they treated my husband the same way. It's just how they are trained to handle things, and its so very easy for them to deny non-immigrant visa's than an immigrant visa. Not saying people never get fiance visas because they do! However with the flags in your case they definitely are looking at your fiance under a microscope. Yes, you should have addressed these issues when you filed, but you can't go backwards, decide whether or not you will continue on the k-1 path or marriage and address the x-wife issues! As far as they are concerned , if you didn't mention her..they probably think you don't know about her. Best of luck, and my advice is don't wait around for any type of "review" on your current petition....it will be a miracle if they ever look at it again. My congressman (Vermont) was advised from VSC liason , that k-1's basically close at the Vermont Service Center when returned.

I did mention her and that he was upfront about his relationship, as was I ( since I was still legally married , waiting for my year of separation) but I did not go into details, so I didn't say I knew about the previous petition. UGH! :( Mine was done at the Texas service center. And Just today I did get this email from USCIS:

Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On July 1, 2014, a USCIS office received this case from the State Department with a request that we review it. We will notify you when we complete our review, or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

I know I may get a letter saying that it has expired and at that point, my only option is to re-file. But are there other routes that may be possible? Thanks for any advice.

Yes, but I would like to at least consider the options that are possibly available with this petition and how I might approach a refiling of a K-1. So many changes are happening right now with school, possibly a change in jobs, and things happening with my children, and of course the cost, it may be until spring 2015 that I can even consider making another trip to Morocco. I thought I might be able to do it between semesters but if I start a new job, I probably won't be able to take the time. So complicated.... :/
