Hello all,

I received my NOA1 on May 1st, I am at the TSC and according to this site the processing date today states January 31....earlier in the week the date was February 7...I am totally confused. However, CSC is moving forward not backwards like TCS. Are these dates valid or does it even matter?? Ok, I am probably making myself crazy...lol

Thanks,

~Marta

No, these dates aren't valid. It's based on people filling in their timelines on here and a lot of the TSC ones are wrong because some people don't understand the difference between filing to the Dallas lockbox and being processed at TSC...

TSC are moving very slowly at the moment. Figure on a 5-6 month wait and, if you're approved before that, then great :-D

Good luck mmoreu, TSC seems to be one of the slowest and most random service centers. On USCIS website they state that they process petitions in the order received https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=onpt but that is not the case. I filed on Nov 12 and am still waiting, I had to put in a service request yesterday. That does not mean that this will be your case though. Who knows? With the complete randomness at TSC you might get an NOA2 in two months. Good luck.

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to the USCIS Service Centers forum -- topic involves processing-times in general. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

October 2013 filer still waiting for NOA 2. Unfortunately, as is apparent by all the timelines posted, that each case is treated differently. I believe that most people joining this site are looking for answers or support from others going through the visa processes. For those of us still waiting we realize how troubled new members become when the responses are not always positive ones. Please know that we all understand the feelings of anxiety in the beginning and comprehend the fears. Fortunately, I am in a long term committed relationship that knew it would be a long difficult process. I have known my partner (now fiance) 7 years and up until September of last year when the USCIS posted notices allowing for same sex couples to file for I-129F petitions, we were committed to love each other no matter what happened in the future. We feel fortunate that we are now allow to take part in this process and hope our story is an inspiration to others that have for any reason been denied their civil rights to live and love as they choose. We have already placed a service request and last week contacted our congressman. Still waiting for a response from the congressman.

The kindness we give to others may never be recognized by the ugly souls we encounter in the vast jungle of humanity, but what we give will echo brilliantly in the smiles of those who have received it.

Thank you Twofors for sharing your story. I hope you get good news soon. I have noticed that some people receive their NOA2 faster than others and I can imagine how frustrating you must be feeling. Best wishes to you and your fiance. Take care.

Usually the clock starts ticking from your NOA1 date. Your timeline reads March 14, 2014, so add the forecasted number of months TSC is showing for K1 visas. For example, if USCIS website states 4 months, then you should start anticipating news come mid-July. My understanding is K1 visas are processed a bit quicker, but don't hold your breath. Processing can rapidly start moving or could come to a halt...ie., in the case of Philippines, where applicants were expedited and took preference.

We're all one big family, waiting patiently for our turn.

But, while you wait you may want to start getting the information ready for the next step in this journey, in this case packet 3. This will speed up that part of the process. There are great wiki's if you haven't found and read them yet.

Good luck.
