I need advice and by all means please consider my situation. Fiance was approved and finally here. It will be almost 1 month but I have thought about this marriage and even before he arrived, months prior I had addressed that I had changed my mind. I know and realize that some people are anxiously waiting for their approval but things happen in a person's life and it is better to do the right thing before it's too late. Rather, late as far as marriage is concerned. I had been waiting for almost 6 years and well, unfortunately I feel this will not work at all. Since I sponsored him I realize it is my full responsibility however, the situation as far as financially is impossible for me to send him back. In other words, I have to pay for his ticket and do not have the resources as of now. He only has 2 more months and needs to go back because I would not want to burden this country with another illegal person, and my full respects. What else can I do to send him back, of course I do have his full cooperation with this issue...Please do not reply if you will be judgemental. My feelings have change, just happened :(

Oh wow I'm very sorry to hear that happened :( Me personally this would probably be a good question to call the USCIS or even his embassy for that matter and ask their professional opinion so things are done correctly.

I have heard that the Moroccan embassy helps it's citizens get back home. I have never seen it actually happen but it is something to consider. You are not the first to change their mind don't be so hard on yourself. Doing what is right for you both is the best thing you can do. Good luck through this process....

First off, you do not have the authority to "send him back" a person is not merchandise rather, you have changed your mind and no longer wish to marry and he has decided to return.

Anyway, as far as ideas, you can put the ticket on a credit card and pay it back with time (responsible thing would be to figure out a way to come up,with $800 to get the man a ticket home)... Worst case he can contact his embassy and explain that his sponsor has changed their mind and he needs to get home. They have been known to sometimes arrange for a flight and collect later. But you really should spring for the mans ticket home.

Try selling some of your belongings on ebay or at a consignment. Ask family and friends for help.. start a donation on one of those donation sites. I am sure people would be willing to chip in a few dollars here and there to keep another illegal out of our country.

Wish you the best and hope you find the money some how some way..

If you knew things might not work out why didn't you buy a round trip ticket? Most of the time they are cheaper than a one way. When it was time for my husband to come I bought a round trip ticket (because it was cheaper) and put the return date 3 months out in case something happened or things didn't work between us and he wanted to go home.

But I guess that doesn't matter now. I guess now you will have to find him money for a ticket. Either charge it to a credit card, borrow it, sell something or pick up an extra job. I worked 2 jobs to save money to visit my husband. There are always ways to do it you just have to want to.

First off, I am not shipping him off and have total respect for these type of issues, more so to this man who is and has been an awesome, hardworking person. I did not buy ticket for him, he did this on his own and he himself said that" the same way he came is the same way he would go back." As far as me not knowing if things would work out, well who knew due to the fact that I have been single for over 18 years...and it was addressed. We did talk about this item, the fact that being alone for so long was going to be quite difficult to accustom being with someone, let alone marrying! Anyhow, I do not have credit cards and we are working on getting him the ticket. I believe I never said I wanted to ship him back, although I do know he needs to go back because it is the right thing to do and do have his full cooperation, unlike many other people that have done just that, stay in the country illegally. Hopefully we can find other revenues. Thank you all for your responses...

But in your original post... And I quote... You said "what else can I do,to send him back" and I quoted your directly saying that YOU cannot SEND him anywhere... So before you say I am misquoting you, please read what you wrote... I second the idea of getting a second job or selling some stuff if you really want to help him get home. But if he assumed the responsibility from the beginning, mthen he can find a way to get home as well..

Contact the Moroccan embassy, but if that doesn't yield anything you should really pitch in at least half the cost of a ticket. I suppose he could be wealthy, but a quick google search tells me that the average annual salary in Morocco is around $3,000 or so.

Ok, quote my bad, but I certainly understand I cannot ship him back and I did not mean it that way, he is worthy of my respects. Hopefully we can resolve this :( Thank you all for your support and responses....
