oath ceremony

Hi,

I finally got my oath ceremony letter the other day, and I want to learn more about the oath ceremony since I will also be changing my name in the process.

Can anyone share their experiences like the length of the ceremony, and will the judge approve the name change request and etc...?

Also the letter stated that I will also need to bring in "any other immigration documents you may have in your possession" what does that mean? Do I need to bring in all of the USCIS letters since I first applied for the N-400 application?

I just know I should bring my green card, passport (if traveled outside the us during this time frame) and this notice of naturalization. Anything else I should know or bring?

I am generally more interested in knowing about the name change since I never changed my name until now and should I apply for a new SSN and 401K if I am working?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, the length is up to the judge, some start indicating all the new experience and benefits as a citizen you could have.

They do take away your green card, you won't be needing it anymore. They don't ask you for anything else besides the appointment letter. As per the name change don't know.

If you change your name you have to change everything, my friend did it, social security, bank info, Ids

Yea I am assuming everything needs to be changed if I change my name.
