Letter from my husband's employer verifying he is in good standing

Today my husband requested a letter from his employer verifying the almost 14 years he has been working and salary. He works for HP and stupid HR told him that there is an automatized process where he goes to a website from the company and request the document. He did so and sent me a draft via email to review it. Everything looks good, except that it has no signature, apparently his boss is not authorized to sign that type of document and there is a special process to request this kind of stuff. Well we are pissed now, everything is getting together to send the package next week as soon as the civil surgeon gives me the sealed envelope.

How crucial is to send this letter to prove where he works and how much he makes as part of evidence for Affidavit of Support? We are sending the following :

2013 tax return filed together,

salary stubs

his company ID badge,

letters from life insurance where it shows I am the beneficiary

health, vision and dental insurance both included ( through his job )

Any thoughts?

We can have one letter from employer - or better said from automatized program- that we can send in the package, would that be helpful? not even bother?

I swear to God if it's not one thing is another, and we have not even sent the package yet.

A letter from an employer verifying income and employment is actually not required for the I-864. Recent pay stubs and an tax returns will suffice.

If you have paystubs, that can serve as proof of current employment.

I think the online print out is fine though. Things like that are common.

But you have paystubs, so you are covered either way.
