Hello, id really appreciate any help and advise i can get on this topic.

I am new to this forum to begin with.

I recently got married in Bangkok, Thailand on March 2014 and I'm from Los Angeles and a US Citizen.

When i got back to LA and I filled my I-130 Paperwork and it was sent to them on April 12th, 2014.

I received Form I-797C on April 17th 2014, back from USCIS and the Priority Date given is April 15th 2014.

My file was sent to the Nebraska Service Center.

Today i got an email from USICS

On May 8, 2014, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

What does this mean?

Also, getting the I-130 Approved what does this mean, what visa will be spouse get to come to the states thats where I'm lost.

Is this a direct filling for a permanent card?

Any advise and answers, id really appreciate.

Thanks

Hopefully it's nothing to worry about. According to other threads I read, that it could mean someone's working on your case and maybe soon enough you will get your approval. If you have been married less than 2 years, your spouse will get conditional resident visa CR1. After the approval from USCIS, it goes to the NVC. I SUGGEST YOU READ THE GUIDES ABOVE.

I called customer service they said its possible it could be a computer gliche to send that message and change on the system and she said let me connect you to the officer customer service level 2, but it was 97 minutes wait so i just hang up, is that possible?

It could be a system glitch. She transferred you to a Tier 2. They usually have more info than the obvious customer service rep ( customer service is helpless- they tell you the same info you see on the website). Try calling again. Ask for tier 2. Did you recheck your status again?
