Hey everyone,

I sent out my green card because USCIS had put the wrong year when it was issued - they put 2013, and it was actually 2014...Anyways, I sent it to the Phoenix Lockbox, because that's what i 90 instructions said to do. It says it was delivered yesterday, when should I expect a case number?

Thanks everyone,

Katie

~ Moved from AOS from Family Based Visas to General Immigration-related Discussion - topic not AOS process and filing I-90 covers more than just those that have applied for AOS ~

You sent your actual green card? Didn't realize you were supposed to do that... Anyway did you also file a G-1145 to be notified by text/email? If so I'd expect something within a week.

Hey all, I posted a question last week but it was moved to some other forum which I can't locate? SO I'll ask it again and hopefully someone can help me out...

My green card had an error on it, USCIS made a mistake...SO I filed form i-90 and sent in the green card, and got a 30 day i-551 stamp from the local USCIS office, and they told me once I receive my letter that they had received my old green card they would give me a year i-551 stamp so I can still travel, and work while my new green card is being made...

I mailed this package out on April 29th, and it said "delivered" as per the USPS tracking number on May 2nd to the Phoenix lockbox...I have yet to receive a case number and or a letter saying they received my green card.

Is this a normal wait time to receive a letter? Or is my green card lost?

Thanks,

Katie

Yes, the immigration officer at the local USCIS office said I had to do so, so I cannot use it to allow someone to come to the USA illegally.

It can take them up to a month to acknowledge receipt. It's been less than a week. Don't worry.

I moved it from the AOS forum because it is about filing an I-90 and not really about the AOS process/procedure. There is a link left in the AOS forum that leads to the topic, and you can also always see all the posts you have made by clicking your name in the upper right of the site under 'My Content' > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=user_activity&mid=171603

You can also go to your profile and find everything you have posted under 'Topics' and 'Posts'.

We did the same thing, same address per USCIS instructions. Actually made an InfoPass appointment before we sent it back to get the I-551 stamp. We got a NOA1 or I-797 acknowledging receipt about two weeks after we sent it in with new MSC number. You should get a biometrics appointment within 30 days of receipt, we didn't and thus another InfoPass appointment. We were told last month it is taking 9-12 months to isusue replacement GCs (really, a year for a replacement?) and thus my wife got her second I-551 stamp.

Thanks for your time line, wow what a wait...It's quite frustrating! I haven't received an NOA yet, hopefully soon so I can ensure they actually are working on my case.
