My fiancée will be having her visa interview in Moscow. She needs to present a police report from Italy (since she lived there for over a year). According to the website, any documents not in russian or english have to be translated and notarized. My question is: is a notarized translation to english (notarized in Italy - by italian notary) valid?

Thanks!

I had experience with foreign documents holding up application processes. From what I understand is you have to provide a cop of the original Italian document, have it translated by a professional translator with the English translation behind it. Now for the notary part .. Im pretty sure if you have a receipt stating the translator is certified capable of translating the document properly. So your third document would be from the service that translated the document, a business letterhead or invoice with address. It would show USCIS that "joj bob" off the corner did not do the translation but someone that is a known translator did it.
