I have found that there are three distinct types of people that post in this forum:

1. People like GandD, Marvin, Teddy, Janelle, etc. They can joke around or have a serious discussion. They're just people that are fun to have a conversation with.

2. There are the angry people. These people are just rude and condescending all the time to anybody who has a different opinion.

The type one people have opinions but they can still laugh and enjoy talking with people who disagree with them.

I haven't figured out where you fit in. But I guess it's becoming a little more clear.

I'd love for you or anyone else to quote in this thread or any other thread where I have a chip on my shoulder or come across as condescending.

I just re-read this entire thread and my responses, I don't see it so please point it out.

Maybe GandD was joking when he said he found those images funny in another thread. My comments here are almost always a reaction to what others have written.

I wasn't joking. The stereotype drawing is funny in its absurdity, that's how some jokes work. That doesn't mean I think its a true representation of black people any more than the hick stereotype is descriptive of me.

I think everybody who has posted in this thread agrees that the topic is totally absurd. The "black man" cleaning. None of us agrees with it. We all know the opinion of each other, so there's no need for any of us to lecture the others on how wrong racism is.

If you reread the whole thread, you'll notice that the posts from Marvin, Janelle, myself, GandD, Teddy, and others are mostly humorous. Some of us like to be able to laugh every once in a while. It's okay to laugh, every post doesn't have to be a Malcolm X speech.

And no, I'm not putting you on ignore. What's the point of that?
