I 360, abuse case! Need help!

Hello!

I really need some help with my Vawa case!

I made biometrics, got working permit, we had our interview, but husband change his mind.

Was domestic violence situation( I went to interview alone with lawyer.

Got letter from local office to submit Vawa case to their adress.

Sent I 360, with all documentation to local office!

But how I understood, they don't make desicion...Only Vermont can approve I 360,right? So what I should now?

Should I ask local office to send my papers to Vermont or what I need to do?

Are you sure you got a letter saying to mail to the local office? I doubt. Local offices ask to submit proof that the Vawa was filed that is it, not to mail them. The law is very clear you must submit to Vermont.

Yes, I understand it!

But I got a letter where's written to mail I 360 to local office, if I want to continue with adjustment of status! What I need to do now? And lawyer made my papers and she told me to send it there( what to do now? I feel it's something wrong here...

You should scan a copy of that letter (asking you to mail them the I-360) and post it here with the personal information removed.

another situation, where USCIS is not thinking about the reader of their letter:

-the lower pre-printed language says to the address above

BUT

-the typed line on top says to APPROPRIATE ADDRESS. For I-360, it's Vermont

As stated, "appropriate address" is VSC, which has exclusive jurisdiction over VAWA I-360s filed by anyone in the US.

I also have a question... If I have an arrest record, because my husband made false charges against me...But my case was dismissed. Is it ok, to use in my Vawa application?

Yes, but you'll need a certified letter from the arresting agency that no charges were forthcoming as a result of your arrest.
