Halo everyone am new to this forum . Heard its the best forum ,hope you will be able to help me My green card was lost in the mail. What do I do. How can I confirm if it was sent back to uscis because my address has changed.

Call the USCIS misinformation line, ask to speak to a tier 2 representative and ask if there have been any pieces of returned mail under your I-485 or alien number.

If my GC was returned to USCIS bcos of wrong address and they confirm they have it will they resend to P.O Box cos I don't want it lost in mail again. Will I need to pay again and still fill I-90?

Can I go for info pass appointment in any state? My POE was Houston and all process for the visa was done in Houston but I now live in Baltimore. Do I need to bring any documents along for the meeting as GC was lost in mail.

Also it might help if your time line was complete, might give members a better idea on your issues. Definitely call or make an info pass appointment. Hope it shows up.

You can make an Infopass anywhere; most people make them at the local office closest to their current home address.

Do I have to wait 30days before I fill form i90? how long does this process take to get a new GC since mine was lost in the mail

6 - 12 months for a replacement green card using an I-90.

When my stepdaughter decided to move out last year, well she did graduate from college, told her to get on the internet to the USPS site to do a change of address. This way, her mail would be forwarded to her. Guess you didn't do this.

What I really wondered about, every single extremely important piece of paper we received from the USCIS was untraceable first class mail, even the DOS sent our most important certificates of citizenship back in a separate envelope with untraceable first class mail. When we paid extra for overnight shipping with a signature required.

We also receive a lot of very official looking junk mail, use to pitch those in the trash can, but during this process, every envelop had to be opened just to make sure.

Most these letters came from Missouri, hard to say exactly where the post office returned them, even if they did.
