Hi kababayans!

I received my CR1 VISA last week. Thanks goodness! :-)

What do I do now? I have already paid the 165$ payment to UsCiS as they have instructed me to do before departure to the US.

When do I need to attend the CFO seminar? My flight to usa is in May 26. By the way, when my parents immigrated to USA they attended a predeparture seminar. Do I need to attend that too? Or is that the same as the CFO seminar?

Another question, when will I get my greencard if I arrive their in May26? My parents got theirs just 1 month after they arrived. They used F Visa (if i remember it right). they were petitioned by my fathers USC brother. I hope ill get mine as soon as possible so that I can start working soon.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Attend the CFO counseling session whenever you're ready, anytime before the 26th.

Pre-departure = CFO counseling. GC should arrive a couple of weeks or more after your arrival.

Yes you need to attend CFO, you need the CFO sticker in your passport to exit the country.

There is CFO info in my link (CFO is the same for all ) below, follow the flashing arroiw

Once you have your CFO sticker in your passport all that is left is to go to the airport and board your plane. If the Travel Tax was not included in the airfare you will have to pay that at the airport, 1,650Php

Keep the DO NOT OPEN envelope in your carry-on, and protect it so it does not get any tears in it! I suggest keeping it in the plastic bag it was delivered in by 2GO

Hank's right. Do your CFO, go to the airport, pay any travel tax that is due, get on the plane and before landing put a smile on your face. Welcome to These United States. Congratulations.
