I have a few simple IV packet related questions. I read the wiki but want to clarify the following:

1. It says to only send a copy of the biographical data page of the beneficiary’s passport. Is it better to send a copy of all pages just in case they end up asking for more details to prevent a checklist, or will sending copies of all pages just anger them?

2. It says to send a photocopy of the marriage certificate in addition to a certified copy. Does it matter if the photocopy is in color or black and white? The certified one is, of course, in color so I am unsure if it would matter.

3. It says to send the police certificate but should we send a photo copy of it in addition to the actual certificate (I ask because it seems that it is necessary to do so for other documents.)

4. For the 2 passport size photos, it says to write Name, Date of Birth and Case Number on the back of each. For I-130 it was suggested to write in pencil. For NVC, do they prefer pencil or a sharpie? Should they be put in plastic bags attached to a sheet of paper just like with I-130 petition?

Thank you

I - 130 sent 2014-04-18

Got NOA1 2014-04-22

I-130 approved 2014-05-14

1) No. Send only the bio data page. The rest isn't needed.

2) No it doesn't. it's just to make sure that you get the marriage certificate back at interview.

3) no just send the original police certificate. You will not be getting it back

4) Putting in a plastic baggie is fine. Use pencil or sharpie. These are the photos that will be used for the visa and green card. So make sure they're up to par.
