Thanks. The doctor has prescribed Naproxen and it helps some. I tried those you mentioned and it helped to a point. I think your clarification will help most of all. :)

OK everyone our fun time is over in this thread.

Lucky, I feel your pain. I have problems with arthritis myself. I was prescribed Naproxen about 12 years ago and it worked for a while, then I was switched to Meloxicam (another Nsaid) which also worked for a while, I'm now on another Nsaid called Diclofenac but it's not working all that well. I also have Vicodin for when the pain gets really bad. My Doctor says the next step is Methotrexate which is a low dose cancer drug, I'm not looking forward to that one.

Thanks TB. I on going to ask for something else the next time I go in. The Naproxen ony deadens the pain slightly now as we knew it would. Is the Methotrexate the injection I was told about? I was told that eventually I would be headed that way.

It is the reason I also have to look at quitting driving for a living. After a full day at the wheel many time I regret choosing this profession. Also my joy at buying old broken down piece of ####### homes and transforming them into a nice place to rent out to suckers is getting less joyful.

I found the Meloxicam, which is a bit stronger than Naproxen, to work pretty well for me for about 5 years, but my body has built up a resistance to the Nsaids and the arthritis has gotten worse now and they're not that effective anymore.

Low dose Methotrexate for arthritis is in the pill form as far as I know, I think the higher doses are ijectable. But it comes with a whole laundry list of adverse side affects including severe liver problems. The other injectable arthritis meds that I know of are Humira and Enbrel. Being in pain all the time takes it toll on you mentally, make sure you try to keep on the drugs that work for you.

Yeah Naproxen is the 2nd pills for me and the effectiveness is now almost gone. It was Enbrel that the Doc was talking about. Yes the mental toll is tough but the pain for me is minor. It is the knowing that I can't do what I love doing. My plans for retirement was to play golf a lot and I can't play a full game now. about 5 years ago the cortizone shots in the shoulder and elbows allowed me to play more so I plan on soon going to take those again but of course the Doc said that I can't keep doing that. Guess I don't really need that house on the golf course after all. Oh well getting old sucks sometimes. Lucky I married a young babe. Take care old man.

I won't use the word if you don't like it, but you should know the word is a combination of Chinese and Communist. It refers to the apparatus of the Communist regime in Beijing. Its military, its bureaucracy and its network of sympathizers around the world.

The word does not apply, for example, to Hong Kong or Taiwan.

It also won't apply to mainland China once they overthrow their Communist oppressors and join the community of free nations.

I am sicked to see VJ Moderation carrying the water of an oppressive and brutal regime.

I think the mods not know current political nomenclature.

This word that was edited, is prevalent all across the political newspapers and websites, it's use accepted by American Writers in the USA.

Oh well. sometimes current events get new labels, that word is not a new label - to the best of my knowledge it's been in use for the last 5 years, and even written press releases from the White House have used it.

Alternative - CCP is acceptable.... as that's an older acronymn in use for almost 35 years now.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

There were several reports taking offense, and a quick google review finds that the phrase is often meant as a derogatory term even though it originally developed from the combination of the two words Chinese and Communist. The meaning with which this word is now often used implies bad quality, poorly mass produced and having little to no value. Please take the time to spell out the whole phrase.

and it's use in those areas stems directly from the bolded area, above.

This is not a bad thing - it's an accurate use of the label. Tonnes of stuff gets imported here that meet those words bolded above.

The derivation usually comes about because it was state-run enterprise that pushed the goods out the door - not a private concern.

I'll let it go once, AJ, but not twice. I have removed your comment as it is a personal attack. You have the right to disagree with what I wrote but you can do it without resorting to name calling and insults.

Aww, you edited out my own post and replaced it with more of your own pablum.

Well, fine. I've made it clear I believe you are highly unintelligent and I don't believe that is a personal attack :)

Let it go. The next fight will be more rewarding. Kathyrn is a cool babe but she just has to walk a line that we don't.

smh.

I'm not stopping until i get a lifetime ban. This is, frankly, too much. They've gone from being arbitrary and inconsistent to being downright stupid. Where I come from, stupid is the original sin. Unforgivable.
