    • Infinite! They can take on the whole world at a time. They are awesome, more powerful than any force that has ever existed or will ever exist in human history.

How many fights can the Chinese Government pick at a time before they realize they bit more than they can handle? They seem to be picking a bunch of fights at once. Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, the Philippines, India, etc.

Until they start a shooting match in an area that the U.S. deems to be of strategic interest, they can pick as many as they can keep track of.

Can I have a list of terms that are used in Political Science but that VJ has banned? Is Nazi on the list? Fascist? Zionist? It would be awful to accidentally violate the TOS because of ignorance.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Yes, I do understand the derivation of the word.

Like many other labels, however, this one has gained a sense of derogation and is offensive to many Chinese, who do not appreciate finding themselves painted with the same wide brush as those who undertake actions and make decisions with which they may disagree. It creates and encourages a negative and damaging stereotype.

If the use of the 'label' was restricted only to talking about the Chinese Communists or Chinese Government, that would be one thing, but it is not. It is now applied with one fell swoop to every Chinese individual, whether they belong to the Communist party or not, whether they support the actions of their government or not.

Anytime a culture and a people are reduced to one 'label', it demeans both the one being labeled and the one using the label. So, please take the time to spell out the phrase Chinese Communist or Chinese Government, remembering that 'Chinese' does not equal 'Chinese Communist' nor 'Chinese Government', and do not resort to epithets that try to ignore that fact.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

This must be the stupidest thing I've ever seen you write, Kathryn. Everything you say here is incorrect.

Did y'all do a groupthink on this or was it a member that complained? We can just go ahead and type out the whole words.

There were several reports taking offense, and a quick google review finds that the phrase is often meant as a derogatory term even though it originally developed from the combination of the two words Chinese and Communist. The meaning with which this word is now often used implies bad quality, poorly mass produced and having little to no value. Please take the time to spell out the whole phrase.

I think the Brutal Oppressive Chinese Communists Regime Thugs can handle multiple engagements unless the U.S. gets involved..
