So, with today's retrogression for Mexico, we are now back to March 2011. Somehow I feel like we're the only people left waiting for our PD from 2012 since everyone got a great ride when the category advanced last year.

Is there anyone else waiting either for an f2a visa or for AOS with a PD from 2011 or 2012? I guess this will give me an idea of how much of us are on the same boat. We were able to move for AOS when the visa bulletin jumped last year since I was in Texas at the time but now, we're not able to get an interview to get my GC until the PD is current again! This is so frustrating!

Are we alone????? Anyone else out there with a similar situation?

Hi there!

It's awful that it's under these circumnstances, but somehow it comforts to know that we are not the only ones.

Our case is actually quite similar: I adjusted status when our PD (05/20/2012) became current for several months but apparently the Houston office was never able to schedule our interview. We were so incredibly close!! I think we missed it for about 2 weeks or so when the retrogression came. Now with these new retrogression we have no idea how long this can take.

Hang in there!

You are absolutely right. It sucks the situation we are in but I have to say it is good to know we are not just a fluke in the immigration system; if I had known about your case I may had not gone through the emotional roller coaster this process has put me through.

Your situation is almost identical to ours :)

Congrats LuisLeonV!

The reason why your case is still moving forward is because your PD is actually current. The problem with people from Mexico is that the retrogression hit us very hard going all the way back to 2011. Good luck on your interview!

Well it certainly looks like there are still some of us in the same boat. Let's keep our fingers crossed and see what the July visa bulletin brings.
