They just asked for my EAD card and the application. I had my passport with me because it said on their site that I had to bring it and the security asked if I had it. When I got to the window though, they never asked for it.

oh ok.they told they was trying to use my EAD 2 times on a computer since i need to show them 2 different documents,but computer didnt accept my passport so she said i need either another passport,DL or ID

OK.so today i went back to SS office.and lady told me to give her EAD and birth certificate...while the first lady told me i need EAD and ID. :ranting: .ill receive my ssn num within 7-10 days

It will come soon. And you should be able to apy for jobs without supplying your SSN, no?

I wonder if there is a glitch in their system??? I'm now receiving 4 texts and two emails with the same update. Plus I've now received two welcome letters. I've only received one green card tracking number so far at least...

Doubt it. I've been asked to answer are you legally permitted to work in the USA, but I believe you aren't required to supply your SSN until hire. My current job I had my tn visa but it took 3-4 weeks after I started work before I received my SSN and I supplied it then.

My marriage is real but we dont have much proof.Every single application do not allow me to proceed until i put my ssn

So guess who already lost their GC. Yes you guessed it!! :cry: I now have to fork over $450 to have it replaced! Everything fell out of my wallet in my car one night and I thought I picked everything up. Hubby took my car to get washed the next day because I was starting a new job that Monday. Later that afternoon is when I realized I didn't remember putting it back in my wallet, sure enough, I looked and it wasn't there. Hubby went back to the car wash after I told him and of course nobody remembers seeing it *rolls eyes*. Hubby wants me to put the replacement in our security deposit box and not keep it in my wallet anymore.

You must carry your green card at all times when out of the house. It's the law.

Please keep in mind that some dates are only known after receipt of another document.
For example, the USPS Form 3811. The stamped receiving date was not know until the original Form 3811 was received on 07/13/2013 1:30 p/m CST.
