NikeS - interviews timing is based on the field office where you will have your interview, and depends on the speed of that office. I wouldn't compare that with anyone unless you know they are at the same office as you.

Ok that makes sense regarding the interviews, but how does it explain the EADs? Those are not processed locally.

Yay!! congrats! for what I read in several posts EAD card arrives about 7 days after status changed to be in production. We should get ours next week

We will be out of town until next Wednesday, I will ask our neighbor to pick up our mail like she always does when we are gone and to let me know when that special envelope arrives

Mine was mailed 7 days after it was approved, I hope I get it by this weekend so I can go to the DMV next week and finally get my permit!

I wonder if the biometrics appointment affects timing at all? The EAD isn't done locally but biometrics is local. My inquisitive mind is pondering. Something to do while I nurse my son!

I'm adjusting from j1 (from the dells, WI) and it is awesome to see your success. My lawyer said that j1 from wisconsin dells suffer a lot of scrutinization due to high fraud that happens. well, you said that your interview was only 10 min, so for you that didn't happen!

So my interview was in Milwaukee at 11:40am.

We arrived there at 11am, went through security no prob, went to the waiting room, there were 5 other families, we thought we were gonna be stuck there forever. Everyone left smiling after the interview, so we figured they all got approved it made us feel better!

There were 3 officers working at the time, so we were called in at 11:55.

Our officer was a really nice lady, she was about 35 years old, super pretty and laid back, smiling all the time, she made couple jokes and we felt really calm and relaxed. So she invited us to her office, introduced herself and asked us to take the oath. She sat us down, did not even close the doors.

The first question she asked, was why we did not bring our daughter we explained that she is way too active and she would only be distracting us. She smiled.

The she asked for ID's and started asking my husband questions from the form, like, name, address and etc. Then she asked how and when we met, have my husband ever been to Lithuania and have he met my parents. After he told that he was in Lithuania, she asked to show our photo album. She was going through the pictures and smiling all the time, randomly asking who are other people in the picture, she would say "aaawww" on our daughters pictures. Then she asked when did we get married, if we have any other children, some other random questions and that's about it for my husband.

I only had to confirm some simple info like my name, DOB, my last employment, when was the last time I entered USA, address and then she asked YES and NO questions from the form.

Then she took our passports and made some copies, came back and said that we are set for today, congratulations. She said I will be hearing from them soon.

We were out of the office at 12:07, we seriously could not believe it was simple!!!!

at 4:00pm I got email that my GC is in production, later in the evening I got more updates, that my I-130 was approved. and that approval letters were already sent to me.

So this is my experience, super easy and painless!!! I am not sure,but I have a feeling that our cases plus was, that we have baby. Just maybe tho, but thats what kind of impression the officer left.

Hey folks, I have to ask a very silly question. How do you get emoticons and different text colours in your signatures? I post on an iPad but DONT use the mobile site, and I can't figure it out.

Usually I'm more skilled tech-wise...

CdnRN - I don't think you're technically challenged in this case. It looks like the text editor that pops up in iOS is different than what shows up on a desktop computer. I have a Mac, a PC and an iPhone and on the iPhone (using the full version of the site), none of the options to change text show up, but on my computers, there's a whole bunch of formatting buttons similar to what you'd see in MS Word, plus a smiley face button for emoticons, although when I type a colon and parentheses, they automatically convert to an emoticon.

Speaking of , today makes six weeks since we've been in Testing & Interview. Normally, I'm a bit more pragmatic, but with no updates at all in six weeks and whole lot of other madness going on in life, I'm getting a bit .

Melibelle, don't be sad ! You and I we have the same local office.. and I've been on testing and interview since June 30th ... similar to you.

That doesn't mean anything bad just our local office is crowded
