What questions did they ask you? if you don't mind to share

So USCIS emailed me today asking to fax job offer proof! going to do that early in the morning tomorrow.

They asked simple questions like name, address, email address, receipt and alien number, am I petitioner or applicant, if my adjustment case is still pending, phone number and so on, really only personal information. They also asked me to explain the situation, why do I need to expedite my EAD, so I basically said that I got a job offer, but I can not accept it as I can not legally work in the US even if the job is part time, it is really important to me and my family, then she gave me 6-7 options to choose from (on why I want my ead expedite) I chose #1 which was financial loss. That is about it, she said USCIS is going to contact me in 5 days with a decision :dancing:

Plus I got a hard copy of my interview appointment :thumbs::energy: the list what to bring to the interview is basically the same we sent with our applications. The weird thing is tho, that on hard copy it says it was mailed on 2nd July, but I was only noticed on 7th July and I got it only today :yes:

Wow. I'm still waiting for any update on mine. But many people here already got their interview appointment or case status had changed. My ASC is in Miami, FL area. I saw people pack in the office when I did Biometrics over there. May be that's why my timeline so slowly. :wacko:

Hi everyone, I just woke up to an email from USCIS notifying me that my interview has been scheduled for the 12th of August, yay!!!

I hope by some miracle I get my EAD card before then but this is good news nonetheless.

I am in Houston too, I believe the field office is close to Bush Airport, somewhere around 45 north and beltway 8. You can find the exact address in the uscis website and yes, you will received the letter in the mail with the location, date and time.

Please update after you have your interview, I would love to know how things go in this particular office.

Checked the USCIS for a case status update........I-485 updated to testing and interview on 7-9!!!!!

Also we are in a bit of a pickle and called USCIS yesterday to start a request for his EAD card to be expedited.

My job is making us sign up early for insurance & benefits. They won't let me put him on anything without a SS # and the SS office won't give him a SS # without the EAD card. I have to have the SS # before the end of next month or else I will miss the enrollment period. :( Obamacare is not an option and I'm not paying a fine.

The rep asked us a couple of questions on the phone. She gave us a list of categories to make the request under (I forgot which one we picked) and she documented our reason. She said we should receive a response in the mail by July 14th.

Thank you everybody! I guess I just got lucky because my local office is Milwaukee WI and seems they are not that busy. I can not believe it yet, if I get approved it is not even going to be 3 months since I sent my package and got approved :content::content:

Melibelle thank you for the link it was really helpful!!! I might try that, even tho my job would be part time and just seasonal, but I just really really need it :)

I am sure you guys will get your interview app soon too! :dancing::goofy:

For now I am going to research what should I bring to the interview, I am thinking of taking our baby with us and she looks just like her daddy :) best evidence there :)

Hi all,

what do you advice with regards to calling USCIS to expedite the EAD application? I have an interview date but as of right now there are a number of things I struggle to get because I don't have an SSN. It would be nice to get a job and help me the bills too.
