I'm moving on the 12th. I proactively updated USCIS on this, as I will be moving in with my husband (YAY, FINALLY!), so anything they send between now and then will get to me anyway. We'll both be moving (to a bigger place) in September. Let's see how much trouble this causes with USCIS...

Haha I think they'll handle it. As long as you notify them. Congratulations on the move! Wishing you all the best:)

Hey guys, quick update. Since we got the RFE we asked for joint sponsorship and well, it kind of blew up due to stupid people talking behind our backs :/ at least now they're out of our lives. We went with option number two, which is sending inmy husband's house appraisal since we're selling it soon and our bank statements from the past year. He's also looking actively for a job so hopefully by the time we'll have Tue interview we'll show improvement of our situation (a lawyersuggested that). My only concern is if they can simply deny the application completely before the interview if it's still not enough. Cause we calculated the poverty guidelines and we should be just under.

Oh noes! Well, I hope your husband gets a nice job soon! I have read on this forum that people got rejected due to this, but if that (the worst) happens, you can re-apply and should get it with no further difficulties. Best of luck to you, you should be past this difficult time soon!

Is there a reapplication fee?

I think you do have to pay if you reapply, but only for the I-485 and biometrics (since you would already have an approved I-130 petition in the case). So it's an extra $1150, thereabouts. Anyway, that is the absolute WORST case scenario, and I really hope it doesn't happen to you, and it shouldn't. Just hope you husband gets a job and you show that in the interview, and poof! Approval.

All the best to you!

Thank you Gurkensalat! This is really helpful and It makes sense, though $1150 is a huge sum. I hope we'll get to the interview. We're also attaching 2 letters explaining our current situation, so that could help.

I think I got it wrong. It's 1070, your biometrics shouldn't expire so you don't have to pay for that again. At least according to that other thread. It's a lot either way. I really hope you don't have to! :S

still haven't received my rfe in the mail just rang uscis and was told it can take up to 15 days for the rfe to be received in the mail.

They couldn't even tell me what the rfe was for so at least I could gather what was needed.

Really getting fed up of this.

Should of stayed in Ireland.
