I sent my package on May 18, 2014. The package was received on May 22, 2014. I got my biometric done June 20, 2014. Until now my i485 is still at "acceptance" step, nothing move. I'm so frustrated now. ???

I replied to your other thread and I mentioned the sub forum that you could get more accurate information about the type of visas like yours. Congratulations! did you get notification with usps tracking # when your card was on the way? I read in other forums that some get it and few days later the card arrives in the mail

I did not received the notification with the usps tracking number but I checked the USCIS website and it was there.

I'd posted this in another thread last night:

"I've been logging onto the USCIS website to check my case status regularly. My NOA1s have 4 consecutive numbers. Looking at the 4 numbers preceding mine, it is for a package dated the same as mine, same AOS package. Today their EAD changed to card production. The ones with numbers higher than mine also aren't yet in 'card production'.

I have a theory that they go in numerical order, all else being equal (no RFEs etc). I wonder if I will be proven correct or incorrect?"

Apparently I was correct, first thing this morning my EAD/AP card was changed to in production. Finally I will be able to legally change my name here! :)

Yay!! congrats! for what I read in several posts EAD card arrives about 7 days after status changed to be in production. We should get ours next week :dancing:

We will be out of town until next Wednesday, I will ask our neighbor to pick up our mail like she always does when we are gone and to let me know when that special envelope arrives

By looking at your timelines, we got biometric done at the same day. Guess what, until now my i485 is still in "Acceptance " stage. Yours is a step ahead of me.

This is probably because you are adjusting from K1 - if you check the May filing thread under Adjustment of Status from family based visas, you will see their timelines are running a bit slower. K1s are sometimes exempted from the interview, because they already did an interview before receiving their K1 visa, whereas those of us adjusting from work, student or tourist visas are generally required to interview.

It is random. I checked almost 70 numbers before me, only ONE has been scheduled for an interview apart from myself but most have their EAD cards delivered or out for delivery. Yet I have an interview due and no progress on my EAD.

RN-sun - what others have said is correct, I wouldn't go by our timing on this thread for yours.

NikeS - interviews timing is based on the field office where you will have your interview, and depends on the speed of that office. I wouldn't compare that with anyone unless you know they are at the same office as you.
