Finally my EAD is on card production and my I-485 moved to testing and interview :dancing:

Congratulations!

I still wonder if I will get my EAD before the interview. My timeline says it may be adjudicated between August 9-12 so it would be nice to be able to renew my DL and update address and married name on it.

Good luck in your interview! do you have everything ready? Today I will put together an extensive photo album telling our story since we started dating until our most recent vacation last month - going for round 2 next week so I will add those pictures as well- . I already have copies of the whole AOS package, as far as the original documents I just have to organize them for easy access when requested during interview.

Yeah, I even have all the completed forms on my computer but won't take those, only the support documents and pictures. We have lots of vacation pictures and will limit them to 10 that they can keep. But the wedding albums will be taken along also. So excited the end is near.

Anyone else having trouble checking case status on USCIS website? I check it every morning while I drink my coffee and today there is not access to account or results typing in the receipt #. Must be a glitch in the system

Hi there!

SO my interview is on Wednesday, I got all my papers together (birth certificates, SSN and everything we sent with the package basically, I just added updated lease and joint account, couple receipts and letters with our names on it). We are also bringing pictures from the start of our relationship, till the wedding and our daughters birth :) I think I got everything well organised. so when officer asks me it is easy to find and hand it to him.

I was really calm and confident about the interview (we are crazy in love and we know absolutely everything about each other) UNTIL today, when I started reading green card interview experiences all over the internet :oops: some experiences got me really scared and I am stressed out now. I have decided to not read any anymore and just trust our love story. At the end of the day whatever happens we will deal with it. Anyways, I want to ask you guys to have us in your thoughts and wish us good luck!

We are going to have picnic with the family today and then we are off to Milwaukee tomorrow morning. Decided to make the best of it, so it is going to be our little vacation :dancing:

I promise to let you know the decision right after we are done and I hope it is going to be a great and painless experience, so you guys can have more faith in USCIS! :)

More good news!! few minutes ago I got a text notification and an email that my EAD is in production! I am so excited! :dance: :dance: :dance: this means I will be able to renew my DL in time for interview as well as my SS card. Thank you God for answering all the prayers for a smooth process (L)

Then a week after it arrives, you get your GC and have to update your social security card. IF mine arrives before my interview in 11 days I won't apply for a SSN, I'll just wait. I doubt mine will be approved before the13th.

Looks like I will be able to do so and bring an updated DL to the interview :dancing::star::content::dance::yes:

I just received my EAD card :)

Congratulations! did you get notification with usps tracking # when your card was on the way? I read in other forums that some get it and few days later the card arrives in the mail
