Thanks for the nice messages :)

Regarding the EAD, I'll say that I didn't receive the EAD. The processing times for my case, in NBC said that EAD and Advance parole were 3 months of processing, but Adjustment of status was 2.5 months. It took me 2 months to get the interview letter + one month waiting to the interview date, which was today. So, as you can see, sometimes you'll go first to the interview before getting the EAD. Some of my friends had the same situation, got the interview before they had time to get any NOA regarding the EAD or the Advance Parole.

I've you guys need an expedite EAD, you can check this past pages of May fillers. Some people did some stuff and got them expedite.

Morganspice you need to go to another bank asap. A lot of people on here open bank accounts with any EAD or SSN, I for sure did not have anything when I opened a joint bank account. I had first went to bank of America and they told me I needed a ssn then the following day I went to Wells fargo and they opened it with no problem. Which bank did you go to?

Kingyute, do you mind filling out your timeline so you can help us who are still waiting.

What in the world??? I have a checking and savings account that I opened on my own after being divorce back in 2005, all I brought was a promotional invitation I got in the mail to give me $100 if I open and acct with them and have a direct deposit. I had child support set up already and no one asked me for any visa or proof of residency. I just showed my DL and gave them I SSN not even showed my card. The bank is Chase and it has been my bank ever since.

Last December my husband and I opened a joint checking account in Bank of America and no one asked me for proof of residency or marriage license. Again all I had to show was my DL and provide my SSN. For the record we had not even started my AOS process yet so I was out of status.

You definitely have to go to another bank, tell them you want to open a checking account and want to have a debit card. Wait for them to ask you for the requisites and do not even mention your EDA card since it is not necessary! you are not applying for a job!

I just got the email that my EAD is in production. Weird, since the interview is already coming up. I'll probably have no use for the EAD anyway.

Still have no updates regarding my EAD; last change was May 29 (Transferred to MSC). Biometrics taken 6/18.

Called NCSC on Monday for the 75-day "Approaching Regulatory Time Frame" service request. Today received an email reply:

The status of this service request is:

Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case. Presently, we anticipate that delay to be approximately 6 months from the date of this notice. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from USCIS by that date, please contact our National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at the number below.

I wonder if the delay was due to a name correction request on May 24 (Day 12) involving a wrong name breaking (parts of my first names taken to be middle names)...
