Things seem to have slowed down a lot in terms of interview notifications. I watch the AOS progress reports for both family-based and work-based visas and it's been pretty quiet.

Another fun and obsessive thing I do: go to the AOS timelines page here: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aoslist.php?cfl=&op5=5,6,8,9,10,11, choose your Local CIS office at the bottom of the table and then click "Find", then click the arrow to sort by Interview Date. If people are updating their timelines, it will show you the last interview that was scheduled and when that person filed.

For Seattle, someone with an NOA date of 4/9/14 has an interview for 8/11/14. For New York City, NOA of 5/1 has an interview for 8/20 (though this can be deceptive because you can only choose NYC and I believe there are separate offices in Brooklyn and Queens). But you will see that in general, the interview dates are pretty sparse, partly because people probably don't fill out their timelines,

and partly because I don't think there's a lot of interview notification going on.

So... I am not holding much hope for an August interview at this point. :( But hopefully we will at least get our EAD/APs soon so we can leave the country.

Sigh, I was thinking the same thing. As long as it isn't the first week of September. My husband can't really leave work then very easily.

Location matters for sure because the people in smaller cities are still getting interviews pretty quickly. Visa type probably matters, too - the K1 AOS folks don't seem to be moving as quickly as we are, although they sometimes don't have to interview at all since they already had an interview before getting their visa.

Well, there's evidence for our ongoing research. :) Wavj and I filed on the same day and the biometrics appointments were one day apart. The only differentials are the field office and visa type...

Yes and thank you! oh and Houston it is not a small city! I believe we are the 4th biggest city in USA. We worked so hard in making our package look pristine, I remember one of the immigration lawyers we consulted mentioned that some IO to through well organized packaged ( which usually are the ones that lawyers send..yeah right :sleepy: ) than packages that don't look nice, which I don't believe anyone going thru this process would not take it seriously enough to not send the documents in order anyways. I do know for sure if that actually happens but we put a lot of time making sure it looked professional and well organized. I even took pics of the package before sending it because I was very proud of our final product :content:

We got our interview scheduled for 8/14.

I think we sent the papers 5/21.

We thought the process would take around 6 months but it has been much faster it seems. It seems I made a typo of my last name for the I-485 package (missing one letter) so hopefully the officer can fix that at the date of interview. Calling USCIS and making them fix it would probably complicate things and possibly delay the interview.

We are going to the Philadelphia office.

On July 18, 2014, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you.

I requested to expedite my EAD a week ago and I have not heard anything from them yet. I anticipate a pretty stressful weekend again :(

We got our interview scheduled for 8/14.

I think we sent the papers 5/21.

We thought the process would take around 6 months but it has been much faster it seems. It seems I made a typo of my last name for the I-485 package (missing one letter) so hopefully the officer can fix that at the date of interview. Calling USCIS and making them fix it would probably complicate things and possibly delay the interview.

We are going to the Philadelphia office.

Congrats, your case is moving pretty fast. Our package was received on May 21

10/11/16 (Day 71) Biometrics completed. *Also, received on the mail response letter from previous service request filed with copy of Biometrics appointment letter.

11/11/17 (Day 466) Case Status changed to New Card Production

11/16/17 (Day 471) Case Status indicate  New Card being sent on the mail .:dance::dance::D:dance::dance::dance:

11/17/17 (Day 472) I-797  Notice of Removal of Condition being approved received in the mail.

11/20/17 (Day 475/15 months 18 days) New Lawful Permanent Resident arrived in the mail; card in hand at last! :dancing:
