Good luck! It's going to be a breeze:)

Thanks, this office looked pretty busy early in the morning when I first drove by last week.When I came back to attempt to walk in there were about 30 people in and waiting. The first thing the officer checked was the date and time of appointment and turned me down.

I will get there 15 mins or so earlier, but unless is not like last week, I might be sitting there for a while. I don't mind, I have my spot reserved and will get it done today finally and get ready for our vacation next week :-)

Good luck! My original appointment was for this week had my walk in been unsuccessful.

I'm glad I was able to walk in though. My appointment time was 3pm which would have put me stuck in traffic for hours. I'd rather sit and wait for hours (with a baby) - which I did - than sit stuck in traffic with a screaming baby. Ugh.

Hi guys

I know this has probably been gone over a billion times in these forums, but I can't seem to find an answer. My I-130 and I-765 are in the initial review stage according to the USCIS website, but the I-485 is still in Acceptance. Is this normal? Does the 485 go into Initial review AFTER doing the Biometrics appointment?

Biometrics finally done! I went 1hr earlier than my original appointment and this time no one said anything, they checked the letter, ID and marriage certificate. There were very few people, I was second to be called in. The lady was friendly and talkative, she had to take my picture again because I closed my eyes with the flash. I was back home by the time of my original appointment at 2pm. Now just wait for EAD card and NOA2 :dancing:

We just bought a new car under both our names, included new car in insurance policy which is under both names; we are going on vacation to Dallas and SA next week to for a theme park tour and all these will be added to our bona fide evidence for the interview

How do you generally find out about an RFE? I've been checking my mailbox everyday like an obsessed maniac up until I did my biometrics yesterday. I generally checked the mailbox once a week before I filed my AOS. Do I still have to check regularly in case I get an RFE so I can handle quickly or will I get a text/email if one is sent?

I got an RFE a week after my biometrics, it has not been updated online. I found out when i received the letter

This makes me wonder if they won't even look at I-485 until biometric results are sent to USCIS , anyone knows how it works?

They usually don't look at your 485 until biometrics and background check is done that's the first step

Husband completed his biometrics today! His appointment was at 10, got there are at 9:50 and was out by 10:30 - a little bit of a wait.

I was bummed he wasn't able to walk in sooner, but it will be interesting to see how much difference it makes to the timing of the EAD/AP.

Yesterday I came home to no news and no mail and again, told myself, next week will be the week.

This morning I woke up to a text message and email saying that my case was moved to Testing/ Interview and my scheduled appointment is July 28th! I have to wait now to receive the hard copy with all the details...

Time to prepare all the interview materials now!

Good news!

Yesterday I came home to no news and no mail and again, told myself, next week will be the week.

This morning I woke up to a text message and email saying that my case was moved to Testing/ Interview and my scheduled appointment is July 28th! I have to wait now to receive the hard copy with all the details...

Time to prepare all the interview materials now!

Good luck to all of you and be patient, seems this month and the beginning of July will be our time to have news!

What visa are you adjusting from? and looks like you have not gotten your EDA in production yet, I wonder if that will happen before your interview date.

06/26/14 (day 34) email notification I-485 case status "Testing and Interview"

07/18/14 (day 56) email/txt notification Interview letter was sent on the mail. Interview date 08/20/14

07/21/14 (day 59) hard copy in the mail for AOS interview date

08/05/14 (day 74) email/txt notification EAD card is in production (59 days after Biometrics)

08/08/14 (day 77) email/txt notification EAD card has been mailed

08/09/14 (day 78) EAD in hand (4 days after "card production" notification)

08/20/14 (day 89) AOS Interview -APPROVED!!! 2 hrs after interview received text/email notification "card in production". 5 hrs after interview received text/email notification I-130 has been approved/notice of permanent resident status has been registered

08/28/14 (day 97) NOA2/Welcome to USA notice arrived in the mail

08/28/14 (day 97) email/txt notification Green Card has been mailed with tracking # -sent priority mail 2-Day

08/29/14 (day 98) GREEN CARD in hand delivered at 1:17pm . Yes it is green! :dance::D:dance::D:dance::D:dance:

09/20/16 (Day 50) 45 days after receiving NOA -1yr permit extension- I filed service request to inquire about Biometrics appointment letter

09/29/16 (Day 59) Biometrics appointment letter received dated 9/24/16

10/11/16 (Day 71) Biometrics completed. *Also, received on the mail response letter from previous service request filed with copy of Biometrics appointment letter.

11/11/17 (Day 466) Case Status changed to New Card Production

11/16/17 (Day 471) Case Status indicate  New Card being sent on the mail .:dance::dance::D:dance::dance::dance:

11/17/17 (Day 472) I-797  Notice of Removal of Condition being approved received in the mail.

11/20/17 (Day 475/15 months 18 days) New Lawful Permanent Resident arrived in the mail; card in hand at last! :dancing:
