Hello all,

K-1 visa filing here.

We sent out the I-485, I-131, & I-765 to U.S.C.I.S.

Here is the time line.

04/30/14 11:55 A/M CST : Documents given to U.S. Mail

05/04/14 9:16 P/M CST : Documents picked up by U.S.C.I.S.

As of : 05/07/14 9:21 a/m CS

a) I have not received a text message or email per the G-1145. (G-1145 included for all 3 above.)

b) The funds have not been taken from my checking account.

c) I have not received the GREEN signiture return receipt card from U.S.P.S.

Anyone have an ideal when I might see things starting to move?

In closing, what are the current time lines for the following once U.S.C.I.S starts processing documents? ( K-1 visa here )

1) I-765 : Getting work permission

2) I-131 : Permission to travel

3) I-485 : Green Card

Please keep in mind that some dates are only known after receipt of another document.
For example, the USPS Form 3811. The stamped receiving date was not know until the original Form 3811 was received on 07/13/2013 1:30 p/m CST.

It can take up to a month for them to cash the check.

May 4th was Sunday, so I am not sure that USCIS picked it up that day...

Let's say it was delivered Monday, so it has been 2 days.

EAD and AP will be approved within 90 days.

I-485 within a year.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Agreed with Harpa, with emphasis on the processing lead times.

In my case, the check was cashed about 5 business days after they have confirmed delivered & received from Fedex tracking. After within 24 hours, I received 3 texts and 3 emails, notification that they have received my AOS / EAD / AP applications. After another 4 business days, I received the NOA, 3 separate letters in the mail.

But some have reported that it may take 30 days for uscis to give you NOA.

We filed ours 3 days before the NOA date, but didn't recieve any notification (email, text, or mailed letter) for almost 2 weeks after mailed. Just relax, it'll get there. :) Next time send it via UPS or Fedex who has much more reliable and accurate tracking! I will never be sending anything this important via USPS again in the future.
