Demonize & insult. Did you study privately with Alinsky or did you just memorize his book?

Read what I wrote in context: I was addressing "not a tailor"'s questioning why government needed to be reduced, yet he was all for balanced budgets. A contradiction.

That would require critical analysis and lateral thinking, in and of themselves anathema to the manifest.

So called 'liberal' professors like this, hate the first amendment and want to see it done away with. The only speech they want allowed is speech they agree with. BTW, they are NOT liberals, they are progressives - AKA statists. Ban speech we don't agree with - what could possibly go wrong?

When they came for me, there was no one left to speak up for me, and even if there was someone, they weren't allowed to speak!

That was already tried before, to no avail. Google 'The People vs. Larry Flynt'. It was a milestone case in which the First Amendment came under attack, from [sic] statists in an unprecedented manner. In the end the Constitution won.

The first amendment is still under attack, every single day. Hopefully, it will always be to no avail, but it sure will not stop certain people/groups from trying.

Look at how some universities are setting up 'Free Speech Zones', special zones where you can practice free speech. Ok, the argument can be made, it's a private organization, they are within rights to do this on their own property. Ok, but it's still pretty creepy.

IQ is probably one of the worst measures of how 'smart' a person is.

Neither is having a list of degrees. Education is great, but it doesn't necessarily make you more intelligent. It makes you have more knowledge than most people in certain subjects.

Anyway, I don't think anyone can say that Stephen Hawking is not an intelligent person, and he is without doubt in the top 1%, at least in math skills. But I don't want him as president so that our top national priority is worrying what we will say to aliens when they finally arrive.

And it is our job to make sure we keep the dialogue open, lest it be forgotten!

No qualifier was made as to how to judge the top 10%, just that we need to start off by eliminating the bottom 90% from involvement.

why do people with low IQs always think they are not important?? I'd try to explain it but... well you know the difficulties there. :bonk:
