Resubmitting I-864 Documents at Interview

My father/joint sponsor forgot to fill in his place of residence after his mailing address. The NVC has requested we bring an updated document to the interview.

My father faxed the updated copy, however, his signature is obviously not an "original". Does this matter?

I called to ask the embassy, but the woman from visa services basically told me "I can't tell you one way or the other". She seemed in a rush to have me off the phone though and I am not sure if she fully understood which document I was talking about or why I was concerned.

I appreciate any help!

Yeah, by and large, US gov't employees are not allowed to tell you what you should do. It's crazy, but true.

I don't think the fax will do it... You have to have the original signature. I think you'll have to get him to courier it to you.

you have to fill up new form with original signature !!!!!! its true otherwise you will denied or delayed your visa
