My friend went to for her interview last May 2nd, 2014. They CO says it's approved and wait for 2 or 5 working days. It supposed to be the day for her to ended up her waiting. But when she check her Visa online, it says "Administered Processing"

She's worried what to do. His Fiance is a retired and did submit 1099 for his Tax Return. Is there anything to worry about?

Usually who are these people receives this type of Visa Status?

And for how long it will takes?

Does this always happened?

I will appreciate all the advises.

All cases go into AP at some point. It sounds like in this case it is in normal processing, will go to a Ready state, and then likely Issued. If no documents were requested at interview, and no 221g received, it is probably ok.

You can call the USEM and ask if there is anything required on your end, as you see it is in AP. Likely they will tell you it is processing and you will need to wait.

If it was me, and it stays in AP for more than a few days to a week, I would call just to make sure there is nothing else required. They say they will contact the applicant if any information is required, however I would not hold my breath waiting for that call. Head it off, ask if anything is needed. In fact, I called every week during our processing until it was issued.

I disagree with the above poster, not all cases go to AP. As a rule, AP can last only a few days, and up to 90 days before you get any reply, positive or not. If you got an 221g document it will tell you what is needed or the approximate amount of time needed to verify any documentat/evidence. If no 221g the USEM just needs some more time to verify documentation/evicence before the visa gets, hopefully, issued. I hope this helps.

Best of luck!

I went through all that bullcrap. Took an extra 5 weeks for wife to get visa. Also, never got text from 2GO, driver just showed up. Thank God she was home

5weeks? Are you serious about that?

I hope you be lucky and be issued soon.

I am on ap from march 24, I was approved and no papers are required.

No 221g given, all was good but they put me in ap.

I e-mail the consulate and the only answer I get it is just wait.

yes, but we had Easter so manila embassy had two days off and the president was there. I think all was given off to go see and make sure it looked good for him....hehe. Plus the embassy kept changing the issue date from April 15th to the 23rd then the 24th

It's almost a week now since the president left. I don't think they are still in hang over. I hope to encounter some previous applicants who never had AP status. My time is calculated. :(

I think he is reffering to adminstrative processing on the ceac site. We did not require any additional documents and ours changed from ready to adminstrative processing, and now we are sitting back at ready since April 29th. With no movement even though the site says to check the status in two business days.

I dont think anything to freak out, i know its hard to be patient. :) Through a lot of reading each one of our applications have a secondary look. Could be that we are the unlucky ones and our papers are sitting on a desk.

Bring out all the positiveness you have within you. I'm doing it too and pray, that works more.

Glad you are not those fortunate ones that already booked tickets back and forth to get their wives but sad to say they didn't make it because of that "delay" ####### of embassy.

Yeah, lets say luck has never been on my side. :) So I didnt book any ticket here to the states. We had a few challenges with the medical screening alone. My fiancee got her ummm monthly friend probably due to stress and was unable to take the medical. So she had to go back and forth to manila twice! Obviously that one cost us a bit of extra money and time. However, we are both happy to report that she is perfectly healthy and all will be ok.

Likewise, we have come so long. What is a few more weeks! Only makes the relationship stronger. Her and I feel as though we can overcome near anything now!
