Hi

This is my first post.

I had filed in my AOS application along with I-131 and I-765 to the Nebraska Service Center.

On April 18, my wife's I-131 and I-765 applications were approved. However, My I-131 and I-765 were denied. In the denial letter, they said that they denied my I-131, I-765 because my I-485 had already been approved. However, that was not correct. My I-485 was still pending.

We contacted USCIS and they accepted that they had made an error in denying my application.

On May 5, I received the notification that they reopened my case to review their earlier decision. In the notification, they said they should complete the reviews within 30 days.

I was wondering if any of you had a similar situation. Is 30 day period a realistic time frame for this case? Is there a chance to get a response more quickly in this case?

Thanks

Serdar

You could contact your congressperson's office and ask them to investigate/intervene. That often gets approval within a couple of days.

What visa are you adjusting from? Not sure if it would have anything to do with your mix-up, but AOS is not sent to Nebraska > http://www.uscis.gov/i-485-addresses

Speaking from my experience - after I submitted biometrics information to Nebraska (turned out my ASC never did, Nebraska never asked for it, case was denied) on Dec 8, it took about 40 days for my case to be approved. If you need to speed things up a call to your congressperson could help here I think.
