I have a very high CN 2014AS19XXX, with changeability of Taiwan, currently living in US. .

I am afraid the number is to high to get an interview, so that I've already retained an attorney to start to apply EB2 NIW, hopefully will be able to file140/485 by the end of the month. Meanwhile, I still expect there can be a chance to get an interview.

My questions are:

1. I have a newborn baby due in June. Do we need to resend and update forms to KCC even if the baby is a US citizen?

2. When should the I-485 medical exam be done? Does it need to be file with I-485 or after it? Can the report done in United states also be used in Consular Processing in Taiwan if we can obtain two copies (one for NIW 485, one for our possible diversity visa CP)? If it can be used in consulate, it would save us much time!

Thank you very much.

I can't answer all the questions but:

You don't have to list children that are US citizens, however DoS actually recommends it (even though they say you won't be disqualified for leaving them off).

No, you cannot use the same medicals. Medicals for CP must be done by the panel doctor in the country of interview.

Hopefully someone else can give you answers on the more AOS specific stuff.

What visa are you currently on?

I almost gave up until I saw as19xxx show up in 2015 again, so far the highest CN in AS though.

Even if KCC really chose less selectees in 2015 compared to 2014 (125k vs140k) to disappoint less people, higher CN of rest of Asia are gone like 20k+ and the high CN of Iran and Nepel are gone with CN 12K+ in 2015.

So that I belive the early 20k+ CNs of rest of Asia are in the safe range, assuming 2015 wont leave too many people disappointed.

Thank you for the quick reply. I am in Houston.
