Hi all,

We married in a good faith in dec 2011 but things didn't work out. He ended up cheated, couldn't be more careless and wanted to file a divorce asap because he wanted to remarry his new gf. My conditional GC is expiring in July 2014. I told him I could file a divorce now but it won't be finalized until 6 months later by California law. So he wanted to file a divorce in Florida instead because it takes only approx. 6 weeks as he is now in Florida.

I'm not sure if this case would be okay to get a divorce decree from a different state. Because all the evidence we have to show that our marriage is bona Fide showing his address in CA. We didn't change it as I was planning to divorce him here in CA but just a month ago he changed all his mind and insisted to get the divorce done asap. Not sure if his new gf put a pressure on him... I have no clue but sadness.

I am so stressed and don't know what to do.

Any input would be much appreciated.

Thanks a lot
