I'm pretty sure you will interview Rachel.

You will get between 6-7 weeks notice for interview.

thanks so much!

"what is the likelihood of me getting an interview?:

90-100%. The highest number we know of from DV2013 was 1630. The highest number so far this year is 1450, but there is another month so it will go higher. Your chances are very good. You beat me by 100.

"And also, once I am notified for an interview how long after that does the interview typically occur?"

Well, it's now June and the people with August interviews are getting notified right now.

btw the people from 1300-1450 went current in August, so maybe I'll see you in the consulate waiting room next year.

I estimate I will interview in July / August

I agree

thanks a lot! I appreciate it.

Hi all

Thank heavens for this thread!

I have a case number of 19xx

It seems like a high number from what I've read so far. Would the chances of an interview be quite low in this case?

Also sorry for this silly question but with regards to the supporting documentations. Do we just bring all this along to the interview or are we meant to submit this as part of the application? There were no attachment options so I got confused reading some information about submitting documents.

Thank you in advance!!

I suspect you'd be looking at August or September.

I'd stay positive about your chances. I personally think that, with the introduction of the DS260 online, that cases might get to the consulates faster (taking into account that the KCC won't have to physically open and process the hard copy applications anymore). Also, bear in mind that in 2015, there are less selectees than in 2014.

So keep your spirits up. Aussies are great at maintaining positivity even when your footy team is 60 points behind!

19XX is a high-ish number. If I was you I'd apply for the DS-260 then forget about it until mid next year.

I normally tell people this: up to 1600 stands a good chance, almost 100%, but the odds decrease fairly quickly after 1600. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong.

The light at the end of the tunnel is that OC typically goes "Current", except for DV2014.

Hi Everyone,

Excuse the daft question but when filling out the DS260 how are you entering phone numbers? As you would dial them in Australia or how you would dial them internationally? IE +61 7 3000 0000. I'm not sure if it even matters but I'd prefer to be safe than sorry.

I emailed KCC DV and they replied with an ever helpful "Please comply with the instructions provided on the website www.travel.state.gov".

As yet I haven't been able to find where it states the answer to this question.

Help?!

Thank you

Brooklin :)

Thanks Hammer67 and Guestgulkan.

I decided to put international dialing codes. Without finding anything on the net which gave a concrete answer I used the logic that it was better to provide more information than less.

I hope everyone is having great success with their paperwork.

Hi guestgulkan.

Thank you so much for the response - sorry I only just read this now!!

I guess if I think that way I won't get my expectations up so high :(

Good luck if you're also in the running! :)

FYI since I wrote that 1450 is the new OC cutoff so it's gotten worse - although it's expected to improve due to Nigerian redistribution.
