I'm creating a thread for the 2015 OC winners to report there CN numbers and talk about there case.

When you list your CN number X out the last 2 numbers eg OC12XX

This will become there useful for the OC DV2015 winners.

Can anyone from the the OC DV2014 forums please add any useful links to this thread.

Here's a spreadsheet for OC. This is how the last 10 years have played out.

There might be some skewed number from 2012 as there was a redraw that year.(http://en.wikipedia....ors_and_lawsuit)

A lot of analyst have disregarded 2012 when comparing the data.

Current is when Consulate believes there are enough visa's for everyone who has sent in their 2nd forms. They will then seclude interviews for the remaining visa applications.

EmilyW should have an interview about March - April. Mikey NZ should be June - Sept.

Hopefully KCC will have learnt something from the slow progress in OC2014 and increase the visa bulletin numbers in 2015 which means you guys might get interviewed earlier.

Hi Guys,

Congratulations to those selected for further processing!
I have been lucky too with a CN of OC11XX.

From previous posts it seems potential interview date for me (and the hubby) might fall between May-June 2015...does this sound about right?

Now that I'm one step closer to this all actually happening (still can't quite believe it?!!), I've gotta get SAVING the $$$! Obviously between now and (possible) interview time, there is time to save up, but just wondering if anyone else will be applying with an affidavit of support?
I'd appreciate your thoughts?

^^ I'd appreciate some advice too around this too. We're fortunately reasonably asset healthy (house is worth close to $1.5million) and we have healthy savings but I'm interested to know what level of proof we have to provide of assets.

Am slightly peeved that we can no longer access our superannuation (previously, if you were departing permanently, you could take it out).

I believe that you need $10,000 per person. You can also use your assets as proof. You most likely will not need to have an affidavit of support if you meet these requirements.

Nearly all the Australians interview are not asks to prove there finances or affidavit of support but it does not mean they wont ask for them.

I good place to setup your finances is HSBC or Citibank. You can setup a US Dollar savings account at both of these banks.

These banks will transfer your credit rating to the US and help you setup a US bank accounts when you are ready to move.

You should get a credit card at HSBC, Citibank or American Express. Use it a least once month and pay it off as soon as you get the bill. Don't miss a payment even by one day. This will help you get a US credit rating.

You can still access your super at the retirement age and it will continue to earn interest on your investments.

There is a whole new tax system to learn about when you are a US permanent resident. You need to file a US tax return for all your worldwide income even it your not living in the US .

These site have some information about US taxes
