Trust me when I say I have done my research on the Internet and paid top dollar to lawyers for their services with no results.

Hypnos I have already contacted Michael Cho and he told me there is nothing he can do for me.

About laurel Scott I found her on the Internet nearly 1 year ago but never got her advice because I was so tired at that point of spending $200-500 on first consultations. I had already by that point spent nearly 10k but I will take your advice and see if I can talk to her on wednesday.

Once again thank you all for your advice

I really didn't think that I was going to have to disclose everything on here but I really can't move to the uk because my husband is having a really difficult time mentally with our situation that he is having to resign from his job this month and I can't live in uk with me not being able to work plus my husband not having a job...can't do it!!

I am a born and raised cali girl and I never in my life dated an non us citizen so I never knew of the immigration problems or just never thought of it. Yes I am totally clueless and looking back if I could do things differently I would.

I wouldn't wish this situation upon my worst enemy. To be honest I am on this website in dire hopes to find some help.

I cannot continue to live the life of a single mom when I have a willing and able spouse to help me. This immigration bs has totally ruined my marriage and I am at the end of my rope here.

Once again thank you all for your advice.

How will resigning from his job help matters?

UK's sponsorship requirements are quite stringent.

The first consultation with Liz Cannon is free. As one of the better waiver lawyers around, I doubt you're going to find a better deal than that.

It sounds to me like a waiver is possible. You've been given multiple examples of this here.

What I really don't understand, is why not move to the U.K.? Sure, it would be a little rough while you got certified or took a few classes or whatever, but so what? If you want to be together, why not do this? Hell, I'd have done that at the first sign of problems. I lived in California for 20 years, and I'd gladly trade my U.S. passport for a U.K. one. I don't see this as a nervous breakdown level problem.

She has stated repeatedly that he has multiple drug convictions.

Now the reasons for not going to the UK look weak taking into account the lack of alternate options. Quite possibly there are other factors involved the OP does not wish to disclose.

If you have a drug conviction or a guilty plea after the age of 18. There is one exception: if the drug involved was simple possession of less than 30 grams of marijuana for personal use.

It's Laurel Scott, not Lauren. I mention it not to be a ####### (though I am), but to avoid any confusion to the OP.

I also hear good things about Liz Cannon with regards to waivers: http://www.lizzcannonlaw.com/

LOL. No harm no foul thanks for the correction. And you are no ####### or anything else. Keep it coming your knowledge and wit is much needed.

You beat me to it. The OP and her spouse can try going to Canada. As a nurse, she could immigrate rather quickly since nurses are in high demand. Then she can petition to bring her husband over.

"London embassy they denied him at his interview because of 2 charges of marijuana when he was 19 and 20 years old, Both were for less than 1 gram and he just got a 55 GBP fine and was sent home, no jail time for both. Along with the 2 charges of marijuana he has some other thing called a caution for drunk and disorderly on the streets and one other dumb thing but I forgot."

First of all I would like to say I feel so sorry for you that this is happening. Secondly I would disagree with the first reply that you gt that prayer alone will solve your problems. While I do believe in prayer you also have to act to get positive results. I am sorry to say but with multiple convictions as you mentioned above and more than one denial already I think it is highly unlikely that he will ever be approved to enter the US. One marijuana conviction perhaps he has a chance but two plus the drunk and disorderly and the other unknown charge (it would help if we knew what that charge was) make it unlikely.

Hate to say it but sounds like your best bet is to pack up and head off to his homeland and start a new life there before the two of you lose hope and you break up. Sure you may have to go back to school for a year or so but is that not better than the three of you breaking up and losing each other for good?

God Bless, David

If the California Girl OP doesn't want to move to the UK, I doubt Manitoba would be any more attractive.

If it looks as though your only choice is to move back to the UK to be together then there are several things you will need to put in place before you can there.

There is a relatively strict financial requirement now for UK family visas, you should check the income requirement asap for your family size - I think it will be just for you as your child is probably entitled to a British passport. It's something like a yearly income of 18500 pounds. There are also some rules about how long the UK sponsor has held the job for. So your fiance needs to keep that job he has now if he meets the requirements or get a new one asap.

There are no joint sponsor options in the UK.

The positives:

Children in the UK are entitled to 15 hours of free preschool care a week from age 3. Public school starts at 4.

Your child will most likely be entitled to child benefit payment

You have a very portable job which is often in demand so once you are certified you will be able to find a job in a nice part of the UK where there are good schools and lovely communities. Not everywhere is horribly expensive and cramped. I grew up in Cumbria and it's gorgeous there.

If you decide to take British citizenship when you are eligible then the whole of the EU opens up for you with job opportunities. You could go to a warmer country, Italy, Spain etc for better weather.

If you give it your best shot and you really can't stand it and have to move back on your own to the US after five or six years, at least you will have given your husband and child a chance to bond which will make there future relationship easier to maintain.
